Houston, we have lift-off!

Hey everyone!

I'm in Changi International Airport now, using my free 15 minutes of internet. This morning has been a very busy one, starting at 6.30 am with breakfast. We, Rach and I, were supposed to be on the 8.50 am flight from KCH to JB on AirAsia, but AirAsia being AirAsia, the flight was delayed due to technical problems. We were given free breakfast while we waited for the plane to be fixed, and while we were sitting around and talking with a girl from Sarikei, we thought to message my mom. This was around 10.30 am. Minutes later a frantic Mi called. Apparently our AirAsia flight was, unknown to us, delayed till 3.30 pm, at which time we'd never had made it for our HK flight. So we rushed down to the check-in counters to buy tickets on the 11.40 KCH-SIN MAS flight and get a refund on our AirAsia tickets. Thank God for street-(or rather flight-/air-) savvy moms and quick-acting ground staff! We were the fortunate last two to board the flight to Singapore, our supposed check-in luggage safe in the cabin storage compartments after being lugged up around by us two. Now I think I know what it's like to be one of the contestants in "The Amazing Race". :P Also read Rach's account on the mad rush.
So now we're on schedule thanks to that flight, and free to roam around Changi airport for 4 hours. Phew! Please pray: first in thanksgiving for such a "miracle", and secondly for journey mercy and a good time to and from Hong Kong.
And of course for all of you out there.

Cheerio!
