Disappointment

I've had ample time to watch the many interesting matches in the Australian Open, and the matches have been great, eg. Hewitt's 5-set thrillers and Federer's wonderful playing. A few disappointments so far though - the tame match between Federer and Agassi for instance. Poor Agassi looked really old. sigh... Another disappointment would be Serena Williams and her wins. sigh... Sharapova looked poised, almost certain, to beat her in that edge-of-the-seat semi-final, but no, she had to panic and hit her balls all wrong. Serena kept her cool and won in the end. The same thing happened in the final against Lindsay Davenport - Serena was down a set and losing the 2nd, and she even got a back problem in the middle of that set. Then a sudden change comes upon her (or maybe it was Davenport getting tired) but she goes and wins the championship. Well, kudos to her for her resillience.
Hopefully the men's final match between Hewitt and Safin will not disappoint.

I'm going to bake Chinese New Year cookies too. Hope that too won't turn out disappointing! :)
