Update

1 week.

Sunday: Screamed like I'd never screamed before after netting a kai penalty shot. Jumped like a kangaroo too. :> That and the bronze medal was a great end to a good MAPCU outing, which was kind of marred by some issues that I will not touch on here. To top it all of, a great whopping lunch-cum-dinner at Chillis where we celebrated KJ's and Yu's belated birthdays, fortifying enough to last through the rainy and dark drive back to KKB.

Monday: BBQ day! Chicken + fishballs + sausages + corn + generous amounts of butter and honey + laughter and jokes and good talk while cooking and eating = GREAT time. And a surprisingly delicious drink mix of Sunkist orange cordial, Sprite and beer. The piece de resistance was the dessert - s'mores!!! Toasted marshmallows squashed on chocolate bits in between two Marie biscuits - mmmm... :) Thanks to the s of 11A Bedroom 1 for organising the grand event.

Tuesday: Took my first history in Mandarin from a sprightly 60-year-old man. I was feeling reckless, so rather than having Izy take the history I took the plunge, and surprisingly did rather well! Izy was there to help clarify things in BM of course. Looks like hanging around SJ is helping my language skills. :> Later that evening we went back to the hospital grounds to play both football and volleyball. ET and RB joined the handful of s, and CK and RL joined later. RL was lethal with his "iron" shoes, an Sh found her place on the field, away from the usual place in front of the goalpost.

Wednesday: Genting day! After a hurried KK morning we headed for the casino on the sky. Driving up was quite tortuous, what with the rain and the mist. Thank God for safety and Altis power. Because of the rain also, we were quite hesitant to go to the outdoor theme park and thus spent some time walking aimlessly inside. We tried going into the casino but the elligible people were carded, therefore us underaged ones didn't dare to try. After a while the weather cleared and we went for the Flying Coaster!!! RM10 for about 30 seconds of exhiliration. It certainly could have been longer, but it was fun all the same. Later we went to the only place where driving crazily is allowed - the bumper cars. All in all, an interesting day.

Thursday: Went all the way to Tanjung Malim for brunch, and was rewarded with the unearthing of a good-quality cheap tailor, and cheap cloth galore! CK and I spent at least 1/2 hour perusing through different kinds of cloth. I ended up with some cloth for a Baju Melayu and other projects in mind. Just goes to show that s can shop just about anywhere for anything. :>

Friday: Breakfast in the Shangri-La courtesy of Mummy and her conference. They had the chocolate fondue fountain!!! At first didn't know what that brown cascading thing was, and what the marshmallows and fruits on sticks were for. Totally delicious! And you wouldn't believe how much the doctors are pampered by the drug companies! Freebies all around, digital pictures printed on the spot, food food and more food, Starbucks frappucinos in small carry-able cups, manicures and massages etc. A bit OTT I'd say, but who's complaining? When you see me next, I might be using a Wyeth water-bottle, with an Enfagrow sunscreen for my car, and Pfizer and Mead-Johnson pens... LoL
