For experiments on nausea and vomiting, they test drugs on ferrets, because their retches are discrete (you can count them). The more retches, the less effective the drug is against nausea and vomiting, sometimes until 400.

I pity the poor ferrets, retching away like that. But then, the researchers must have a pretty boring time as well, counting each of the 400 retches and hearing each awful sound.
